Marching Band Volunteers Needed!


Successful completion of a background check is required before any volunteer has access to students, either on or off school property.

Bonus: When you volunteer to help on Football Game Nights, you receive a wristband for free admittance to the game.


Pit Crew Parents: Pit Crew Parents help move the Front Ensemble (Pit) instruments and equipment to and from the field for the half-time performance. On Football Game Nights, check in at 5:15pm in the Auditorium Lobby.

  • 6 Trailer Parents with an ATV Driver: Trailer Parents help move, load and unload percussion equipment on the ATV trailer. Then after the performance, they help transport this equipment back to the school for storage.
  • 10 Pusher Parents: Pusher Parents are assigned to help push the marimbas and other percussion instruments onto the field for the performance. Then after the performance, they help push the marimbas back to the school for storage.

 Our travel needs are:

  • 1 driver for a rental 26' Penske Truck. (No CDL is required for this)
  • 1 driver that has a vehicle that can tow our trailer of approximately 8,000 lb. tongue weight
  • 1 driver that has a vehicle that can tow our small travel trailer loaded with our ATV.


Uniform Helpers: (Moms only) Uniform Helpers will meet in the Uniform Closet inside the Chorus Room (B105) to help distribute uniforms to the marchers before the event. Also, Uniform Helpers are needed to receive the uniforms from the marchers after the event. On Football Game Nights, arrive at 4:30pm for distribution and 7:45pm for receiving. Shako Plume Helpers are needed to "plume" the marchers before the event and remove the plumes after the performance. Check in with the Uniform Coordinator at the Uniform Closet.

  • 5 for Uniform Distribution
  • 5 for Uniform Receiving
  • 2 for Shako Plumes


3 Dinner Helpers: Dinner Helpers set-up, serve and clean-up dinner served to the marchers on Football Game Nights. Check in at the Auditorium Lobby at 4:00pm.


2 Water Helpers: Water Helpers will set up a water station near the Marching Band stadium section and keep cups filled so the marchers can hydrate after their performance. On Football Game Nights, check in at 5:00pm in the Auditorium Lobby to receive the supplies.


1 First Aid Helper: This volunteer helps by carrying the Red First Aid Backpack to meet any non-emergency needs. On Football Game Nights, check in by 5:30pm in the Auditorium Lobby.
